Our Calling and Beginning
In 2016, God placed on Steve and Jamey Pirtle's hearts the vision to begin a Christian ministry dedicated to sharing His word through song. Both had previously been members of gospel singing groups, and God's timing was perfect for forming their own. With faith and confidence in their divine calling, they founded the gospel group, Entreating Heaven. Their mission remains as steadfast today as it was over 10 years ago: to entreat the presence of the Father and share the love of Jesus with as many people as possible. They are driven by an urgency to see the lost and hurting find redemption and hope before it is too late.
Our Journey of Faith
In 1990, over 36 years ago, 2 people came together barely knowing one another. So, they took a leap of faith, both believing for something better and sharing an undeniable respect for each other. Little did they know that light that shinned so brightly was that little light that God had placed in their hearts when they made Him Lord of their lives as children. God took 2 people who had lost their hope, trust, and joy and saw their hearts. The years of disappointment, struggles, wandering, failure, sin, God took it all and redeemed it at the foot of the cross. He patiently waited and molded them individually and jointly to do what He called them to do when they were young. Both, Steve and Jamey, were raised in Christian homes. Life and the world got in the way of those callings for a time and when it looked like there was no way back to a place to serve Him, God knew better. When they decided to trust God and use their gifts for His glory doors began to open. Only He would put a soprano and a bass singer together and say, "Sing." It has worked for over 10 years and they are believing for many more souls for His kingdom. They are very quick to tell you they aren't entertainers. They are about bringing joy, but the kind God gives and doesn't end when the music and fellowship stops. Entreating Heaven Ministries foundation is rooted in the love of God and loving others. Their mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the words and songs that God places before them. They are staunchly dedicated to spreading hope in a world that has lost its way, reminding everyone that this life and its challenges are not the end of the story.
Our Core Beliefs
We believe in one true God, who is above all and by whose hand all things exist. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived a spotless, sinless life. He was crucified on a cross, not for His sin, but for yours and ours. He died, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God. We believe He sent the Holy Spirit to minister to us, and He will return for His bride. We believe every Christian is called to, "Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," (Matthew 28:19). We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God.
Touching Lives with Hope
Our heart's desire is to "Entreat Heaven" and usher in the presence of the Father. We yearn to worship Him in spirit and in truth. We pray that you will see or hear something from us that points you to the unmerited favor, grace, and mercy of the Father. Jesus can and wants to transform and redeem your life.
